Steve Aisbett | Founder & Head Pro · 20,000+ Lessons Delivered
Steve is the founder of Thornleigh Golf Centre and a highly experienced PGA professional with a career spanning tournament play, club roles and coaching. A local who trained at Pymble and Chatswood, Steve played three Australian Opens, won more than 50 Pro‑Ams and served as Club Professional at Dubbo Golf Club before returning to Sydney to build Thornleigh, which opened in 2012.
His coaching philosophy is simple: get the basics right, build a balanced, connected swing and remove unnecessary angles that cause strain and errant shots. With more than 20,000 lessons delivered, Steve's teaching has produced course records, tournament winners and junior players who've progressed to professional ranks.
Allan May | Advanced Level Coach · Pain-Free Swing Specialist
Allan is a PGA Certified Advanced Level Coach and TrackMan™‑trained instructor with victories including the 1993 NSW Matchplay and multiple wins on the PGA Legends Tour. After overcoming his own back injury, he developed a proven pain‑free swing method for players with back, neck or shoulder issues.
His coaching focuses on each player's natural swing, using TrackMan™ data to deliver clear, measurable improvements. Allan brings a calm, results‑driven approach to every lesson.
Barry Morgan | International Coaching Summits · Tour Player Developer
Barry is a seasoned PGA professional trained under Frank Phillips, with decades of experience across clubs including The Lakes, Bermagui and New Brighton. His coaching has produced tour players such as Mi Hyang Lee and Jordan Mullaney.
Barry combines technical expertise with a focus on the mental side of golf, teaching swing fundamentals in simple terms that build confidence. He regularly attends international coaching summits, including the Butch Harmon Academy, to bring the latest methods to every lesson.
Belinda Diamond | Former NSW State Squad · College Golf USA
Belinda is a PGA professional with experience across the NSW State Squad, NSW Institute of Sport, four years of college golf in the USA, and competition on the Australian Ladies Professional Tour, PGA Pro‑Ams and select European events. She has held coaching and retail roles at Peninsula Kingswood and BigSwing Golf Frankston.
Her coaching philosophy is simple: make golf enjoyable while setting achievable goals - whether a student is starting out, lowering their handicap or pursuing elite performance.
Jason Wood | 20,000+ Lessons · High-Speed Video & TrackMan™ Analysis
Jason grew up in a golfing family and has turned a lifelong passion into a 20-plus-year coaching career, delivering over 20,000 lessons and training at Europe’s Nike Golf Academy. A modern, results‑focused coach, he blends high‑speed video analysis with TrackMan™ data to diagnose issues quickly and create efficient, measurable practice plans that help beginners and experienced players alike improve fast.
Known for a direct, player‑centred style, Jason focuses on the fastest path to better ball striking, smarter decision‑making and more consistent scores.
Grant Kenny | Former Tour Player · Junior Development Specialist
Grant is a qualified PGA professional who spent twelve years on the Australasian and NSW PGA tours, with top finishes including 2nd at the 1992 New Zealand Open. Since moving into coaching, he has worked with Golf Australia and NSW development squads and was twice nominated for NSW PGA Teaching Professional of the Year.
Grant combines tournament experience with modern video analysis to help players of all ages improve their technique and on‑course performance.
Ian Passwell | PGA Centenary Award · 24-Year Head Pro Career
Ian is a highly experienced PGA professional with a 24‑year tenure as Head Professional at Ryde‑Parramatta, former chairman of the NSW PGA, Australian PGA board member and recipient of the PGA Centenary Achievement Award.
His teaching is rooted in the science of the swing - impact, alignment and rotational mechanics - delivered through simple, drill‑based progressions with tailored programs for seniors and those with physical limitations.
Tristan Morey | TrackMan™ Level 2 · Australasian Tour Competitor
Tristan brings broad experience from roles at Asquith Golf Club and Thornleigh Golf Centre and regular competition on circuits including the Australian Pro‑Am and Australasian tours, with three wins to date and a course record 69 at Manly. He has worked in club fitting at Powergolf and is TrackMan™ Level 2 certified, using technology to find the ideal set‑up for each player.
Tristan’s coaching philosophy is simple and student‑centred: build a solid foundation, tailor the swing to the individual, and focus on practical, repeatable improvements.
